Should we establish social media for the convention to promote this board? I have a bachelor's in Marketing and Communications, so I'd be happy to set up a Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to try and get people on this board and joining the discussion. I see a lot of small movements popping up but no one else is really talking about anything other than social media outreach and supporting local candidates. This is good, but we need them to unify and support the organizational efforts going on here.

Okay. Now that I have time.
Yes! Absolutely!
But we want a singular voice. We want to be professional and consistant. A @gmail.com email, progressive-party.org website, PNC facebook page and @prognatlcmte twitter... just won't do. We want them to be all: @progressives.org email and progressives.org and facebook.com/progressives and @progressives twitter or @pnc.org email and PNC.org website and facebook.com/pnc and @pnc twitter or @progressiveparty.org email and ProgressiveParty.org website and facebook.com/progressiveparty and @progressiveparty twitter
So we need to do a little research to find out what identifier we can use that will be the same across all platforms.
Right now we're using "ppncc", and that may work but it's temporary and will change once we become official.

At the moment, that is where we are networking. As things progress, we will establish a more concentrated effort across multiple social media platforms. If you like, you can follow me @girtmanroger

There's unfortunately limited usernames available on Twitter for this. @progressiveparty is one character too long, which is infuriating. We may have to have an @ that's slightly different. @progressives is taken and @pnc or @ppnc is too short.
Progressive party is good though, for sure. Very universal. I like PNC because of the validity/familiarity with the existing dominant parties (DNC/RNC).
I'll do more research on what's available to use on Facebook tomorrow!

Did a little looking. I noticed that the Vt Progressive Party (the only officially recognized Progressive Party in the country--and only state level) is @progparty. There are a few similar, unofficial twitter handles like @oregonprogparty... Unfortunately @progpartyus is taken (and abandoned, last activity was May 2016) and @usprogparty is weird on the eyes...
So how about "ProgPartyPNC"? It's available on Twitter, Facebook, .com, .net, and .org. IDK about other Social Media outlets.

Had a conversation with Ash yesterday. He is in agreement that "ProgressivePNC" is the best option for a universal username/tag across all platforms. The only hiccup I see right now is that "Progressive National Committee" is already registered with the FEC. It was registered by Cameron Dickerson in July last year & updated August, so it is an active registration as far as the FEC is concerned. However, it does appear to be effectively abandoned. As of the last filing deadline, they have raised $0 and spent $0. Their last media activity was Dec 16, 2019.
Mr. Dickerson is the Democratic nominee for VA-9. I have contacted him regarding his intent with PNC but haven't recieved a reply yet. If I don't hear back by COB today, I'll try to reach someone thru the email address on file. If no reply by Wednesday, I'll try to contact the on-file Treasurer.
Will update as I learn more.
But in the meantime, I think it might be prudent to go ahead & set up profiles on the "free" media outlets like FB & twitter. I don't want to spend any money on a hosted website domain until we're certain we can legally raise money as a party.

Hi guys! I think we need uniformity in our outreach. Same message across all media outlets.
I think it should be a mission statement and a call to join. I'm not good with graphics, but I could write something up if we don't have anything already.
